About the event
Charcoal, perhaps one of the oldest artistic mediums in human history, has been an iconic form of medium for as long as human beings have been around to draw with it. From 28,000-year-old cave wall art, in which charcoal was a key component, to the works and sketches of Rennaissance masters, it is a medium that has grown and changed with our species and has allowed us to bring our imaginations to life. Now, it's your turn to learn -- drawing a gorgeous horse portrait under the professional guidance of local charcoal artist Amanda Howse!
Amanda (she/her) is a fantasy artist living and working in Ponoka, Alberta. Her artwork has reached international collections, and she has had decades of experience with in-person instruction, making her the perfect mentor as you embark on your next artistic journey!
Paid pre-registration is required to attend this event. Please note that this course is limited to participants 10+ years of age. All supplies included -- just bring yourself and a desire to learn!
